La Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort revolves around a late 19th Century colonial-style country house. It once belonged to the Riquelme family, descendents of the noble knight that accompanied King Alfonso X El Sabio (the wise one) in the conquest of Murcia.
Its restoration signifies the conservation of the country house tradition of the old Murcia while balancing romanticism of the past with the modernism of today's age. The gardens from those days have been recreated using native plants and the urban development was furnished by EDSA and F&M, architects that left their signature in every corner of the resort.
