The investments made to improve and expand roads, especially in the hundreds of kilometres of highways, has not only enhanced the transportation within the Province of Alicante, but also between Alicante and the rest of Spain. Getting to the Costa Blanca is easy by land, sea or air.

El Altet has daily flights to the main Spanish and European cities. Either directly, or with a stop over, one can reach any national or international destination.
In addition, the airport registers a significant number of charter flights transporting a large number of passengers. El Altet is among the most important airports in Spain. The considerable increase in volume of passengers and air traffic has resulted in the current remodelling to expand the airport facilities.
