It was designed by Dave Thomas in the layout of two curved 9-hole courses that begin and end at the same point. It is characterized by uneven greens although the main challenge is created by the bunkers that flank them. Great precision is required when driving to avoid the bunkers and make a birdie. It is an 18-hole, par 72 sanctioned course, 6,239 metres long, with 6 lake areas and practice grounds that include a putting green, a practice bunker and a practice approach green.
The most difficult hole in the Altorreal golf course is hole 6, a par 5 and the longest. In addition, the presence of water in holes 9 and 18 require extreme caution and concentration to beat par.
Another great attraction of this golf course is its surroundings. There is an abundant variety of trees including olive and pine trees. The good climate and setting make playing golf on this course a very gratifying experience.
